BIKE TALK ABOUT US

Hein Jonker started Bike Talk in Durban in January 2006, serving the local motorcycle community through a very popular printed Motorcycle Magazine with some of the most unique and informative features, articles and content you'll find in such a compact little publication. Our main objectives were to give you the reader a medium you can relate to and enjoy reading, and help you the dealer to promote your products in the most cost-effective way possible. In February 2013 we decided to go discontinue printing and continue in Digital Format only; reaching 1000's more readers than paper can ever do. Since then the magazine has been delivered to readers via Email, Social Networks, Mobile Devices, and Computers in eBook and Digital Flipbook format. In January 2007, Hein established a Motorcycle Academy in Durban, to further develop skill and confidence among motorcycle riders, offering a wide selection of On-Road Motorcycle Rider Courses. Then in September 2018, more than 3700 folks trained, Hein decided to discontinue rider training under the Bike Talk MRA banner but to conduct a selection of his very popular Rider Courses through the Motorcycle Safety Institute of S.A. To top it all we decided to go one more step and host various Motorcycle Events to truly introduce the lifestyle factor to enthusiasts, which includes Social Rides, Day Trips, Tours, Endurance Runs and Motorcycle Experience Broadcasting. Support, friendships, and partnerships have grown tremendously during this period, and we aim to keep it that way; with you along on the ride, it can only get better. On 1 June 2019 Bike Talk changed ownership, and is now managed and operated from Midrand in Gauteng, South Africa. Bike Talk is now in ownership of Leonard van Greunen. A Passionate motorcycle fanatic that has been riding since a very young age. Leonard is also involved in the Motorcycle Industry supplying new and used Motorcycle Parts as well as Motorcycle Salvage. Leonard is a Certified BMW Motorrad Off-Road Instructor at Country TRAX Off-Road Academy in Amersfoort, South Africa.
