BURN-OUT ON THE BEACH: Amanzimtoti Beach saw the first Burn-Out on the Beach
hosted by the newly formed CMA Chapter in Amanzimtoti. The morning started off with Prayer on the Road at three different points, praying for safety and protection of our biker friends and families. From these three points the groups headed down to Toti Beach for a short 30 minute “come as you are” service and sharing from the Word of GOD. This was well supported by the local biking community with almost 90 bikers, their families and friends attending. The next one will be held on 11 July at 8am, so come by bike or by car but don’t miss this for the world. Contact Christiaan on 082 9797127 from more information.

SUPER TENERE:Perry Yamaha, as usual, was the first to introduce the XT1200Z Super Tenere to the local market on 17 May 2010. The turn-out was normal for a

mid-week event but had just the right people there; potential buyers. What I like about Perry events is that there is a lot of space to move around and a lot to see, however the food was gone before I got there; “Hey, who took my waffleand ice-cream!?” Anyway, Henry and Mark are waiting for your call to place your order or better still, pop in at Perry Yamaha, take the demo for a test ride and buy a new one. Read up on the review on page 26 and check-out the special on the back cover.

ZAMBIA TRIP: At an event hosted by BMW Umhlanga Motorrad on 4 June 2010, we said fare-well to Roger Scheffer leading a team up to North Zambia on behalf of Lloyds Register in establishing a school there. Roger, having done the Durban 2 Dublin trip with Jaco and Howard in 2009, has more than enough experience to take this group up to Northern Zambia and bring them safely back to Durban. I am sure Roger will once again have many stories to tell when they return; just follow the Blog on the Moto Tour website and you’ll see what I’m talking about. When Roger is not away on some sort of a tour he runs a very successful Off-Road Rider Academy in association with Country Trax based at Imbabala Game Reserve near Greytown. Thanks again to Umhlanga BMW Motorrad for hosting a smashing event, great food and a great amount of people. Visit the Moto Tour website (www.mototour.co.za) for more on the Zambia trip.

CHICKEN RALLY: Appart from the fact the Chicken Rally was held at the perfect venue of Leisure View Holiday Resort (well-done Craig), we couldn’t help but notice a few items well worth the mention: First was this emaculate Honda CB750F which in my book stood a very good chance of taking the prize of Best Bike on Show. Hey, allow me to add my 2cents, I’m all for older model bikes that are well looked after, that to me shows character and something money can not buy. I couldn’t help but notice this beautiful Goldwing Trike and Eddie my Thumper bro getting his fill for the day at the local “XT660 hair salon”. Nice paint job on this Busa, so many layers of paint that it could probably not hit 200 anymore. Nice one Piet! Lastly, if you can not aff ord sunglasses, why not use a Bike Talk to cover up and take a nap like this oke. You only see this at rallies, make sure you get to one soon or your whole life will be over before you know it. Thanks Craig, this was the best yet!
